Six months

IMG_0848 IMG_0801 It blows my mind that Sam is approaching six months of age. The little bundle that hardly moved and kept his eyes shut for long periods of time has turned into a arms-throwing, leg-kicking little being whose eyes follow you around the room and take in everything in the immediate environment. I love witnessing his development, like a thirsty blossuming flower in water, he appears to change before our eyes, waking up each morning a little longer and alittle stronger. His features are settling into his face and morphing from the face of a baby IMG_0890(although he never really looked like a newborn) into that of a little boy. Who is this child? Will he laugh like he does now or will the pitch and tone change over time? Will he be as easy-going as a toddler as he has been as a baby? His seriousness comes through, but his humor and silliness does as well. Getting to know him daily is one of the best gifts I can imagine, seeing how he is opening up to the world in all his Sam-nessIMG_0866.
