Wired, varnished and ready to hang

This piece has a whole other piece underneath. Fields of spring green, inspired by a drive through Idaho to one of our favorite climbing spots, the City of the Rocks. But the painting never spoke to me and sat on my wall unfinished. The first weekend of the Open Studios I worked outside in the bright, October sunshine and grabbed the canvas off of the wall. Offerings arrived. There are hints of the underpainting and I love love knowing that it is there, part of the piece if not visible. And the piece now reflects me being in my flow, in my bliss, so happy to be painting outdoors (more painting outdoors to come!).
